Code of Conduct


Public Riders

  • Police will ask riders to stay in the one group and they will do their best to allow a smooth, controlled ride.
  • Riders will obey all Victorian road rules and regulation
  • Riders will ride in a staggered fomation and remain in the controlled one lane.
  • Riders will be under controlled speed ie: 80km/h on freeways.
  • Most of freeway use will be in left lane.
  • Create a 2 second hang back behind other riders and in wet conditions this may need to be doubled.
  • Be courteous of car drivers attempting to exit off ramps on freeways.
  • Cars may mix with the lane of traffic, but remember they have somewhere to go as well.
  • Police solo riders may move up outside of the escort to get ahead. Please stay within your allocated lane or the line of riders if changing lanes.
  • Club marshals may also direct you at times and will assist at the end for allocated parking.
  • Riders will obey direction given by police.
  • Riders will obey road signage.
  • Riders will STOP at all red lights.

Marshalling Riders

  • Wear identifiable high visibility vests.
  • Provide corner marking where required.
  • Assist in rider facilitation and close up gaps where necessary.
  • Obey all road laws.
  • Be vigilant of police solo riders moving past the escort.
  • Assist at the end of the ride for allocated parking.
  • Assist police as directed.
